Any information on Henry Moore Sr. or Jr. is much appreciated. Thanks Perry Henry Moore Jr., born 1818, Madison Co,Ala.the 4th child of Henry Moore Sr. Henry Jr. was the 2nd of 4 children by Nancy Parsons,his fathers 2nd wife. Henry Jr. died between June 10 & Oct. 24, 1880, Lee Co., Ms. Married 1st, on DEC , 12,1837 to Nancy N.Hilliard,dod between 1855-1859, daughter of John Hilliard dod. 1852, Madison Co Ala. Henry Moore Jr., married "2nd", on Oct. 8, 1861, in Itawamba Co, Ms.To Elizabeth L. Sullivan,(dod. same as Henry’s). In the mid to late 1850s, Henry Moore Jr., and children moved to what was then Itawamba Co, Ms.(later became eastern Lee Co Ms. 1866 ). His wife Nancy and young daughter Nancy, died apparently just before or shortly after this move as the 1860 census of Itawamba Co, shows Henry Jr., widowed with children. ( he and Nancy had 3 more children after the 1850 MadisonCo,AL.census,=(Mahala E., Jesse J., and Thomas S. Moore). On Oct. 8 1861, Henry married, Elizabeth L. Sullivan, she being 20 years the younger of Henry. They had 8 children together, of which most of them were orphaned and placed with relatives and friends at the untimely deaths of Henry and Elizabeth, which occurred shortly after the 1880 census, which was taken June 10,1880 and his will being probated Oct. ,24 1880. There cause of death is unknown to me. I did however find there graves in an abandoned cemetery, along with several other graves. Only there foot stones remain with there initials on them ,(H.M. All I have on them at this time is that Eula,3(Henry Jr2,Henry Sr1) married to Dr. D.L.Norris on May 5 1898, and that at least some of these children moved to Texas to live with relatives. Henry Moore Jr., born 1818, Madison Co,Ala.the 4th child of Henry Moore Sr. Henry Jr. was the 2nd of 4 children by Nancy Parsons,his fathers 2nd wife.
